SCOTLAND THE BRAVE
SCOTLAND THE BRAVE: There are many things about the Scottish culture I find fascinating, and when I had a chance to use actual tartan scraps to make a quilt, I just had to try. I stitched the Rampant Lion design in the center from a counted cross stitch graph in May 1999. During 2000 one of my children and I pieced all the crazy blocks. The wool tartan is so heavy that no batting was needed. It was machine quilted by MG in early 2001. It was a fun project, but doubt I would do another one like it. Size: 46" x 46". (#297)
