ONE PATCH

ONE PATCH: I pieced this one for my daughter in 1997 out of 3" squares that were leftovers from other projects. The border is an Easter egg fabric - the quilt looks very cheerful. It was machine quilted by MG in Jan. 2001. Size is 55" x 70". (#294)

QUILTS FOR WOUNDED SOLDIERS

QUILTS FOR WOUNDED SOLDIERS: These 3 lap size quilts are for the Quilts for Wounded Soldiers program that is at Andrews AFB. They were made of donated supplies and time, and then sent to Andrews AFB via the local quilt guild that was willing to pay the shipping in April 2009. Thank you so much to those of you who help with these quilts for our heroes.

QUILTS FOR WOUNDED SOLDIERS

QUILTS FOR WOUNDED SOLDIERS: These 6 lap quilts were donated via the local quilt guild in May of 2009. They are each about 45" x 60". All the supplies, and labor are donated. Thank you to the ladies who made these possible by either donating supplies, or time, or both.

SCOTLAND THE BRAVE

SCOTLAND THE BRAVE: There are many things about the Scottish culture I find fascinating, and when I had a chance to use actual tartan scraps to make a quilt, I just had to try. I stitched the Rampant Lion design in the center from a counted cross stitch graph in May 1999. During 2000 one of my children and I pieced all the crazy blocks. The wool tartan is so heavy that no batting was needed. It was machine quilted by MG in early 2001. It was a fun project, but doubt I would do another one like it. Size: 46" x 46". (#297)

VETERAN'S QUILTS

VETERAN'S QUILTS: These 2 lap quilts were donated in January 2009 to the Quilts for Wounded Soldiers program. They were donated thru the local quilt guild, which paid the postage to get them to the group that takes them to Andrews AFB.
