MAXINE STRIKES AGAIN

Maxine Strikes Again Quilt.

Maxine Strikes Again Quilt

This 62" square reversible quilt was the Christmas gift for 2017 for my mother-in-law who loves Maxine.

I got both the Christmas version and the regular version fabric while visiting my sister in Minnesota.

I utilized the entire amount of both the Christmas and the regular Maxine fabrics that I purchased.  I found coordinating border fabrics in my stash.

The quilt is self-bound with the green on the Christmas side folded to the regular side and machine stitched down.

Machine quilted in a large stipple design by RLM in Nov. 2017.

RED TRACTORS & SUNFLOWERS

So for Christmas 2017, my sister and brother-in-law got a new quilt. He collects Farmall tractors (actually, anything to do with Farmall) and my sister loves sunflowers. So I made a simple quilt that features both. The large bordered blocks all feature sunflowers. The sashing looks like old handkerchiefs, the posts are a Farmall fabric, and the border has both Farmalls and flowers. It is 96" square and just looks so cheery. Machine quilted by RLM.
