LIFE IN THE WILD
LIFE IN THE WILD:
Pieced this large lap quilt on vacation in Maine this year. Both hubby and I were raised in Montana, so life in northern Maine has many similarities and we felt right at home while living there in 1990-1991. I made many quilting buddies that have remained friends thru the years.
Anyway, back to this quilt. I pieced it while in Caribou Sept 17-20, 2016 with SB, CL, and TW plus miscellaneous local quilters who stopped in to see what we were up to or to bring a project to work on or show off. With the borders it is 62" x 72". Fabrics are 100% cotton. I will have RL machine quilt it, but first have to decide on a back.
As per tradition, the below picture was taken 9/23/2016 at Colonial Pemaquid, Maine. The border was sewn on it after I got back to Indiana.
Update: 10/24/2017 I donated this quilt to a local charity as a silent auction item. Apparently it was a hit as a raffle item because I asked afterwards if they would like me to do another one for next year, the answer was a definite yes.
