AMERICAN SUMMER
AMERICAN SUMMER: I started this quilt last year after returning from Maine, and then life got too busy and I just put it away. When packing for Maine this year, I pulled it out, got all the strips cut, and found a border print for it. Into the suitcase it went. So now the top is finished - 2.5" strips, 2.5" center blocks, and a 6" border. It is 92" square. Many of the red strips are leftovers from the Lettuce Be Berry quilt I made in Maine last year. Over winter I plan to have it machine quilted.
This photo is taken while on the design wall - no border yet.
This photo was taken 9/16/15 at historic Colonial Pemaquid in Maine.
